MAST Director

We are seeking a Director of MAST.

This is role is a senior-level position that calls upon a person driven by being an integral part of nurturing the beginnings of a brand and business, as well as has a passion and understanding of the healing arts.

Beyond this baseline, brilliantly clear communication skills, ease of connecting with others, applied active listening and empathy, operational excellence, as well as management and marketing fluency are essential.

In this role, you will oversee and manage the daily operations of the space, programs, and employees of MAST. You will develop and support new growth opportunities through programs, partnerships, and brand experiential excellence.

This support will ask you to be committed to continually aligning with the brand values and ethos in order to be an advocate of the brand and business. This advocacy will come to life through creating on-brand content,hiring proficient practitioners, cultivating community among clients, and identifying areas of improvement both internally and externally.

You will lead in setting the tone for meetings, trainings, and communication that will create the internal practiced culture, which ultimately permeates externally to all points of the brand and business. Logistically, this role requires you to live or relocate to Nantucket, MA starting in April 2023.

In-person daily presence and support is necessary for this job. We will support this requirement by covering moving costs and via a housing stipend. We fully cover health insurance benefits and salary will be based on your expertise and experience level.

Qualifications

  • Four (4) years min experience in management & marketing in the wellness/healing industries

  • Must live and or re-locate to Nantucket, MA starting in April 2023

  • An awareness, passion and understanding of the following practices: The Healing Arts, Breath-work, Reiki, Meditation, Energy Medicine, Massage, Ayurveda

  • An existing network and deep understanding of wellness practitioners nationally/globally and located in Nantucket, MA

  • Strong prospecting and selling skills with proven experience

  • A proficient understanding of social media content strategies, and advertising: META platforms & LinkedIn

  • Current experience with the platform MINDBODY regarding building out the calendar of classes/events at MAST

  • Ability to take on-brand photographs using an iPhone camera

  • Excellent communications skills

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English

  • Computer literacy and experience using Apple programs

  • Ability to pass DSHS background check, required

Responsibilities

  • As such, the Director will be responsible for facilitating, streamlining, and managing MAST

  • Oversee entire well- being program & function, design, and implementation of the calendar

  • The Director will plan, develop, and implement, community-based wellness programming and education initiatives

  • Provide and develop on going marketing efforts and planning to promote MAST as a global leader in wellbeing

  • Serve as a liaison to the community and network of facilitators, teachers and therapists

  • Interview, hire and manage all employees and teachers

  • Provide direct supervision of staff and complete HR employee performance reviews

  • Facilitate staff meetings and other planning meetings to remain updated and to discuss new initiatives and/or program modifications

  • Budget management of expenses

  • Lead and organize bi-monthly reports regarding MAST business development and updates delivered to ownership

  • Consult with and develop collaborative programs and working relationships with numerous practitioners, retreat directors, etc

  • Respond to inquiries about MAST programming and the entire function of the space and business

  • Apply a humanistic approach that promotes respect, empathy, integrity, self-awareness, and compassion

  • Share expertise through teaching and training others

  • Research best practices for well-being globally
